Why is that?

Some Club Car-branded golf carts come with an OBC feature that prevents non-Club Car-branded golf carts from charging their batteries.

For these golf carts, wiring modifications are usually required before the charger can be used for charging. We include instructions and the wiring that needs to be used in the package. If the charger does not charge your golf cart, you may need to “bypass the OBC” according to the instructions.
